What are Fees in DecoGro?
Section titled “What are Fees in DecoGro?”Fees are charges that may not be associated directly with a single line item. This can include screen fees, digitizing fees, rush fees, handling fees, and anything else you may want to charge for. Fees can be based on a dollar amount or a percentage of the order total.
Please note, if you are going to utilize percentage based fees, we strongly recommend that you look into the laws and regulations first. There are VERY STRICT rules that govern who, how and the manner in which this practice can be done.
How Do I Add New Fees?
Section titled “How Do I Add New Fees?”To add a new fee, click the new fee button. From here you can enter a name, description and amount for your fee. You can also choose whether the fee is charged sales tax.
Please note, fees are only charged sales tax if the order as a whole has sales tax. You can also choose whether to add sales tax to each fee individually inside of each order.
What are Default Fees?
Section titled “What are Default Fees?”If you check the Default box, then that fee is automatically added to any new order. This can be useful if there are certain fees you use on every order, and you don’t want to forget to add them to each order!
Even if a fee is added to an order by default, you can still manually remove the fee from the order.
Can I Add Custom Fees to an Order?
Section titled “Can I Add Custom Fees to an Order?”Yes, you can add a custom fee inside of an order even if it is not listed in your admin menu. This can be useful for fees that you don’t charge regularly.
If you charge the same fees regularly, we recommend adding them in the admin menu so your team doesn’t have to type out all of the details and price on each order.
How Do I Edit a Fee?
Section titled “How Do I Edit a Fee?”If you would like to edit a fee, just click “Edit” next to that fee.
Please note, if you change the name of a fee, the new name will be reflected on past invoices. For this reason, if you would like to change the name of a fee, it is recommended to create a new fee instead.
How Do I Archive Fees?
Section titled “How Do I Archive Fees?”To Archive a Fee, just click “Archive” next to that Fee. When you Archive a Fee, it will no longer appear as an option on new invoices, but the Fee will still appear on older invoices.
If you ever want to use that Fee in the future, just click restore. Once, you restore a Fee, you will be able to select it on any orders.
Can I Permanently Delete Fees?
Section titled “Can I Permanently Delete Fees?”Yes, you can permanently delete a fee in DecoGro if the fee has not been used in any orders.
To delete a fee, it must first be archived, then click “Delete” next to that fee.
You cannot delete fees which are being used on orders.
