Categories

Using Categories in your line items allows you to differentiate between different decoration methods or any other categories you may want to use.

By default, your categories contain the following options:

  • DTF

  • DTG

  • Embroidery

  • Screen Printing

  • Vinyl You can create additional categories by clicking the “New Category” button. Depending on your shop, some other examples of categories you may want to add are:

  • Promotional Products

  • Sublimation

  • Laser Engraving

  • Banners

  • Stickers

  • Cut and Sew

If you would like to edit category names, just click “Edit” next to that category. Please note that if you edit a category name, it will change that category name on all of your existing orders. For this reason, it is not recommended to make changes to a category name once you have already used that category on an order.

For example, if your shop used to do DTG, but switches over to DTF, you wouldn’t want to change the name of the category. This would change all of your old DTG orders to DTG causing all of your past orders to be inaccurate.

Instead, we recommend creating a new category for your DTF orders.

If you no longer do DTG, and want to remove that as an option when creating an order, you can Archive the DTG category.

To Archive a Category, just click “Archive” next to that category. When you Archive a category, it will no longer appear as an option on new invoices, but the category will still appear on older invoices.

If you ever want to use that category in the future, just click restore. Once, you restore a category, you will be able to select it on any orders.

Yes, you can permanently delete categories in DecoGro if the category has not been used in any orders.

To delete a category, it must first be archived, then click “Delete” next to that category.

You cannot delete categories which are being used on orders.
